SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST 2007 :LONDON LASSES WITH WINTER / WILSON PERFORM IN AID OF LINCOLN BABIES On January 28th 2007 Pheonix George Samuel Watson was brought into the world, sadly on the 1st February 2007 Pheonix passed away. The time given to their family and friends would not have been possible without the excellent attention given to Pheonix and the aftercare he received on the Nocton Ward in Lincoln. The team at the Nocton Ward were so dedicated to assuring not only excellent after care was given to Pheonix, but also to Amanda and Karl, his mother and father. The Nocton Ward cares for seriously ill babies in the early days of their lives. With your support for this charity night you could give other families like Karl and Amanda’s the opportunity to have the same efficient aftercare and support that is needed. The Charity night is for Lincoln babies supporting the Nocton Ward. Lincoln babies spend all the proceeds on new equipment and facilities that the Nocton Ward requires and the money raised from the event will be gratefully appreciated. Until the arrival of The London Lasses & Pete Quinn, Irish traditional music as played in Hammersmith, Camden Town, Shepherds Bush and other boroughs of London, had failed to be represented on the concert platform. Their mission includes remembering their contemporaries from whom they learned their music and turning the spotlight on a rich vein of roots music often forgotten. Since their debut album some two years ago, changes in the line-up have seen the departure of Bernie Conneely and the addition of ex-Déanta flautist Deirdre Havlin, accordionist Maureen Linane and singer Kathleen O’Sullivan. |
